NAND oversupply may hit SSD profitability.
Lee says enterprise SSD demand should rise alongside AI data-center storage, but NAND is likely to shift into oversupply faster than DRAM. China's NAND market share has already moved above 12%, and NAND has no HBM-like buffer; mobile and desktop NAND are even more vulnerable. NAND price declines could be much faster than DRAM, so SSD demand growth and memory makers' profitability can diverge.

Memory prices keep rising on supply shortage
He argues DRAM, NAND, and SSD export growth is very strong, and although year-on-year growth rates will slow from Q4 due to a higher base, memory prices should keep rising in Q3 and Q4 because mobile and server DRAM supply shortages cannot be resolved structurally; customers face cost pressures but must buy, and he expects Q3/Q4 price assumptions to be met or exceeded, leading to estimate upgrades, with FX as the main offset risk.
